5 Heart-less but Romantic Outfit Ideas for Valentine’s Day

February 5, 2020

Like most people, whenever I think about Valentine’s Day, it usually involves hearts—but it’s totally possible to achieve a romantic look without literally wearing them on your sleeve. I rounded up a few examples of outfits which have a feminine vibe but are a little more unconventional for a Valentine date (or any date night), and that you can probably put together with items that are already in your closet.Want to look a little sext but stay cozy? Just don an off-the-shoulder sweater. I’m wearing boots with my pleated skirt for daytime, but you could also try stiletto heels for a more sultry look. The handbag adds a pop of red with a little nod to love day.

One of the most feminine ways to dress will always be floral print dresses (more options here). This maxi dress is perfect for date night since it was a deep v-neck and flattering wrap silhouette. Add statement earrings and high heels for a no-fail romantic look.

For a winter date night, you can never go wrong with a fitted sweater dress. I own the one I’m wearing in three colors because the ruching is insanely flattering. Adding a pair of tights like this (bonus points if they’re sheer) makes it extra sassy while keeping your legs warm. Throw on a classic camel coat to look chic en route to your date.

A bodysuit with a deep v-neck is sure to earn compliments and makes the perfect companion to a high waist skirt or pants for a figure-flattering look.

Not into wearing skirts or dresses? Try a statement blouse with your favorite jeans. And if you also don’t like heels, try a pair of polished flats like these leopard mules.
