After attending a family christening last weekend, we celebrated over Sunday brunch at a yacht club in Annapolis, Maryland. The view was incredible and you could see all the way to the US Naval Academy. I love boats; there’s something so peaceful about watching them bob in the docks. As a former boat owner, my husband vows to have one again someday. I would be perfectly happy with that!
The stripes in this fit and flare dress blend well with the nautical surroundings. I love its classic silhouette and crisp pleating at the waist. I added this wide belt to reflect my gold jewelry and the hardware on my bag. Black pumps would have worked just as well for this look, but why not a splash of cherry red? I’d been coveting these heels for months, and when they got marked down 40% at Nordstrom, I snagged them immediately. Unfortunately, they are pretty much sold out on Nordstrom, but I also found them marked down at Neiman Marcus and Zappos. Finally–my search for the perfect red pump is over!
