6 Winter Wardrobe Essentials Every Woman Should Own

January 4, 2021

Going into 2021, one of my goals is to focus on paring down my wardrobe to only pieces I wear often. That said, for my first post of the new year, I wanted to focus on winter wardrobe essentials (more inspo here). I thought about what I wear the most and the following six items are what I recommend every woman should own.

1. Camel Coat

Although any neutral wool coat is a great wardrobe essential to have, I personally find that a camel coat is the most versatile. Camel works well from fall into early spring since it looks great paired with dark hues or soft colors.

2. Neutral Scarf

A cozy scarf in a neutral color will keep you warm and serve as the perfect finishing touch for any winter outfit.

3. Warm Boots

Warm winter boots like this aren’t always the most sleek footwear option but they’re a necessity if you live in a cold, snowy climate. The best styles are waterproof and lined with faux fur for extra warmth.

4. Knit Hat

Not only is it functional, but a cozy knit hat (lots of options here) is a stylish accessory that will complement your winter outfits.

5. Faux Leather Leggings

I wear my faux leather leggings more than anything else during winter because they slide easily into boots and look stylish with oversized sweaters and winter coats. If you feel too cold wearing them in the winter, try this warm fleece-lined pair (I personally own and love them!)

6. Waterproof Coat

On wet winter days, a wool coat just isn’t going to cut it for outerwear: parkas or puffer coats will be your best option. Choose one that’s waterproof with a removable hood for even more protection against the elements.
