I never thought I’d get into ‘Mommy and Me’ style but coordinating outfits for Lila and I to wear together is so much fun. I’ve had these matching floral dresses for a few weeks and finally got around to taking photos over the weekend. Honestly, the struggle is REAL to get this toddler to participate in a photo shoot without using some kind of prop, so I’m amazed at how many good shots my husband managed to get (complete with smiles, too!)
I bought Lila’s little straw hat months ago but she absolutely refused to wear it up until this photo shoot (she has strong opinions about her clothes). I knew it would look adorable but I wasn’t even going to bother trying to get her to wear it. So when she looked at me wearing my hat then put hers on and said, “Match Mommy,” my momma heart exploded. Maybe, just maybe, we’re about to cross over into the stage where she gets excited to take photos with me!
My husband snapped this candid shot toward the end of our photo shoot when Lila was tired and it may be my favorite of the whole bunch. Her sweet little hugs are everything—I love this girl so much!
