Red Coat Outfit Inspiration

December 18, 2019

Meagan Brandon fashion blogger of Meagan's Moda shows how to wear a red coat for winter

‘Tis the season for statement outerwear, especially a coat in vibrant red. Not only is red a classic color, it can also be treated like a neutral and flatters every skin tone. I’ve been wearing mine so much lately and it always brings compliments, even from complete strangers. If you’re looking for my exact Max Mara coat, it’s on sale here. But if you’re on a budget, this wool coat is very similar and under $250. I also found some more beautiful red styles which you can shop below (simply click on any image and it will open in a new window).

Go monochromatic with lots of scarlet layers. For this look, I used a pleated skirt, turtleneck sweater, and scarf in the same shade as my coat.

Add a dash of plaid for a holiday feel. If you don’t have a plaid skirt, a plaid scarf works just as well.
