One of my favorite quotes by Coco Chanel is “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance,” and I find a lot of truth to that statement. Whether dressed up with a little black dress or more casual in a sweater and skinny jeans, sometimes I like to take my cue from French women and keep my look simple and classic. What’s more Parisian than a striped tee, dark denim, and a pop of red?
Let’s talk about these flares for a moment: if you’ve been looking for a clean, dark, and super flattering pair, call off the search. Although I love distressed denim, the minimal design of this style makes them a classic pair I’ll be wearing for years. Like most flares, they were a little too long on me, but nothing a quick trip to the tailor couldn’t fix. For reference, I am 5’4″ and had about 3/4 of an inch cut off to wear with platform shoes.
