Fall Nail Review

Yep, I’m a nail polish junkie. I’m also a big fan of deep colors for fall. I’ve been taking photos of some new polishes over the last few weeks and thought I’d share my thoughts. I’ll be taking all photos in natural light from now on because that definitely shows the truest color. For each, I used two coats plus Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure Topcoat (by the way, this stuff is great–my polish lasted a solid week with only a few tiny chips!) My top two picks are on the left side.

  • Top Left: “Sable Collar” by Essie. This is actually one from the Winter 2013 collection, but I saw it at Ulta and had to try it out now! It’s a great fall color: pearlescent purple with a hint of copper and a faint gold sheen.
  • Bottom Left: “Cashmere Blanket” by Essie. Love, love, love this deep granite color. It has a subtle silver shimmer to it which gives the shade some extra dimension.
  • Top Right: “Bobbing for Baubles” by Essie. Not a new color for this season, but it’s new to my collection. This is a very sophisticated creme navy blue shade.
  • Center Right: “Vested Interest” by Essie. This is a deep teal green creme with a hint of gray. It’s a nice change from the usual dark grays, purples, and reds for fall.
  • Bottom Right: “Lost on Lombard” from OPI San Francisco Collection. I love this gorgeous deep red creme–a classic red for sure!
