When it comes to accessorizing, no outfit is complete for me without gold jewelry. While I’ve collected quite a few necklaces, bracelets and earrings over the years, the ones I love most are my meaningful pieces. When we lived in Jordan and Lila was born, I had a necklace made with her name in Arabic. I knew I wanted to create something personalized for Juliette, so we visited a local jewelry maker, Christian Caine, who helped me design a custom necklace engraved with her name.
Ultimately, I chose a 14K gold circular pendant hand-engraved with ‘Juliette’. One of my favorite parts about this necklace is the adjustable 22″ chain, which allows me to choose the length depending on the neckline of my shirt.
I ordered the necklace before Juliette was born and we went to the store to pick it up a few weeks ago when it was ready. The necklace was beautifully presented to me on this bust. I’ve never had such a special experience while shopping for jewelry!
Here is the final result of how the girls’ necklaces look together. I absolutely love wearing them simultaneously and I just purchased this chain necklace as an option to layer them with a third piece.
Another piece I recently added to my jewelry collection is this gold vermeil chain ring from AURate. It’s beautiful alone but I love stacking it with a thin diamond band. Vermeil is actually gold-plated brass but has the look of pure gold (at a much more affordable price point). Another of my favorite sources for gold-plated jewelry is Shopbop and I’ve been really pleased with a few gold bracelets from this brand in particular.
